Watch It All Burn

Serious question, do you ever get tired of helping people? Or rather... trying to help people? I feel like I'm constantly leading horses to water. Family and friends come to me complaining that they can't lose fat, can't gain muscle, and can’t overcome ailments like celiac and IBS. They ask for advice...

Application

You can take the best minds in the world when it comes to program design, the best equipment and the location and the still not the see the results of a single coach in a home garage gym with a barbell. Every program whether it be BFS, CrossFit Football’s Power Athlete, Westside, Wendler’s 5-3-1 or Starting Strength is only as good as the implementation by the coach or athlete and how well as the athlete’s dedication to the program...

Vision & Culture

How do you foster and encourage a competitive spirit in a place where most dudes would rather stand around in the mirror admiring how awesome they are? I would love to have some awesome competitions with lots of folks really pushing to be the best. I would also love to see more dudes in our place practicing more fundamental, functional training, but you can't have everything. Our squat racks only get used by about 8% of our membership...

Thank You

I wanted to drop a shout out and thank you to the people that stepped up and supported Wade's Wings. This charity is very important to me and my family and seeing the support that was given was inspiring. This little boy's memory needed our help and many of you answered the call. Friend's like Robb Wolf, author of the NY Times Best Seller, Paleolithic Solution, and Mark Sission from Mark's Daily Apple were among the earliest contributors. Our biggest contribution came from Mitchell and Jenna Young who contributed a total of $620. Thank you...

Blood Work

He forwarded me you email, as this is my wheelhouse. I have been involved in laboratory testing of athletes and non-athletes since 1989 and have a data base of over 30,000 subjects. I make the following suggestions and share with you that you can get these tests ordered by any physician and performed at a variety of labs. However in almost every case I have reviewed, people mess things up. Either the physician orders the wrong tests or skips tests that are important and/or the client/patient does something to mess up the results. So first let’s standardize things...

Swagger

I want to thank you for the programming. I don't play football, but I did reap the benefits of your training today. I caught a guy breaking into my truck and trying to steal my dog and guitar this afternoon. WTF! I sprinted over and leapt while kicking the door into his body and then preceded to beat him mercilessly and finally, power clean and body slam him into a wall. Without your program, I wouldn't have been able to do what had to be done; sprinting, jumping, beating down was just another DWOD. Now I am going to have some tequila...
